Retail - Meat industry

We are looking for a qualified QA Manager with experience gained in the retail industry with a background in meat manufacturing or similar plants 

You will be responsible for the full Quality Assurance Management system and implementation of all HACCP processes related to the products.  

• Design and develop the Quality Assurance Program / System by implementing the food safety requirements within Meat Markets.

• Source, service and calibrate instruments and equipment for quality control

• Management all internal and external laboratory processes

• Monitor risk

• Establish Service Level Agreements for external service providers

• Research and stay abreast with new or updated regulations, laws, standards and other official enactments that may be applicable to the meat plant

• Provide guidance on microbiological controls with in the Meat Plants

• Oversee the quality control aspects of raw materials and finished products

• Monitor production control function to ensure that SOP’s are adhered to

Qualification:

• Grade 12 / Matric essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field is essential

• 4 years minimum experience in a Quality Assurance management capacity with in a MEAT PLANT/FESH MEAT PRODUCE OR SIMILAR environment

• Solid understanding of end-to-end meat production operations

• HACCP

• ISO Standards – FSSC22000

• MS Office 365 with strong Excel skills

• Project Management skills
