Our client is seeking a talented Project Developer to join a growing team and play a pivotal role in developing and securing renewable energy projects across South Africa.

In this exciting role, you will:

·        Originate and develop new renewable energy projects: From identifying potential sites to negotiating land lease agreements, you'll be at the forefront of project development.

·        Navigate complex regulatory landscapes: Secure necessary permits and approvals from key government departments (DFFE, DMRE, Eskom, and more).

·        Contribute to bid submissions: Support our participation in the Renewable Energy IPP Procurement Program and private off-taker RFPs.

·        Ensure project compliance: Support financial close and lender due diligence, including IFC Performance Standards.

·        Mitigate project risks: Implement strategies to overcome challenges and ensure successful project delivery.

We're looking for candidates with:

·        At least 5 years of experience as a Renewable Energy Project Developer in South Africa, OR 5 years in Large Infrastructure Project Management, Environmental Consulting, or Town Planning.

·        A Bachelor's degree (B Tech, BSc, BCom, or equivalent).

·        Strong project management, negotiation, and contract management skills.

·        In-depth knowledge of the South African rural context, administrations, and environmental law.

·        Willingness to travel and a valid driver's license.
