Job Description:
Our client is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Management Accountant to join their growing team. This role requires an expert in financial management, strategic planning, and compliance across UK and US finance regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be tech-savvy, and possess a solutions-driven mindset. They will work closely with senior leadership and a UK-based Finance Manager to oversee budgeting, cash flow forecasting, project costing, transfer pricing, and compliance-related financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Develop and manage the company’s budgeting process in alignment with strategic objectives.
Prepare accurate and timely cash flow forecasts to ensure optimal liquidity management.
Conduct financial performance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management.
Project Costing & Work in Progress (WIP) Management:
Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure accurate project costing and margin optimization.
Monitor and manage work in progress, ensuring timely invoicing and financial controls.
Oversee financial tracking of group revenue and maintain a project revenue bible.
Transfer Pricing & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to transfer pricing regulations and maintain proper documentation.
Manage intercompany transactions efficiently.
Oversee UK & US tax compliance, including VAT returns, corporation tax, PSA, and 1099 filings.
Financial Reporting & Audit Preparation:
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Conduct full reviews of month-end P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Work with external auditors (Grant Thornton) on statutory accounts, R&D claims, and year-end audits.
Cash & Revenue Management:
Oversee HSBC payment authorizations and cash management.
Manage sales invoicing and debtor tracking, ensuring efficient cash collection.
Conduct revenue reporting, including accrued and deferred income analysis.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Work alongside the UK-based Finance Manager, mentoring and supporting financial operations.
Communicate effectively with the executive team, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
Utilize Slack for internal communication and real-time collaboration.
Tax, Payroll & Legal Compliance:
Oversee US payroll and pension contributions via BambooHR and Voya.
Manage legal contracts, insurance policies (US & UK), and annual insurance audits.
Handle tax-related compliance, including UK tax computations, statutory accounts, and option registration.

Candidate Requirements
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in UK and US financial principles, tax laws, and compliance.
Proficiency in Xero, Google Suite, and ERP/CMS systems.
Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a finance team.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a solutions-driven mindset.
Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
Adaptable, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
