Employer: West Coast Personnel

Purpose: Maintain and repair plant equipment and machinery to ensure smooth production. Support improvements through design, modification, and installation of new machinery. Adhere to ISO 9001 quality management standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the factory's maintenance schedule.
Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities.
Suggest improvements for planned maintenance.
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Oversee calibration by external contractors.
Conduct daily machine set-ups to meet production goals.
Handle job cards, breakdowns, fault-finding, and repairs.
Update maintenance records and reports.
Optimize production through electrical modifications.
Manage spare parts inventory and advise on needed replacements.
Source spare parts and secure quotations.
Commission and validate equipment.
Handle general building maintenance.
Treat effluent to meet municipal standards.
Act as a Health & Safety Representative.
Support the Spill Team in handling spills.
Provide electrical support to Sales Reps.
Prepare and submit monthly SHEQ reports.
Train others to enhance skills.
Reduce downtime through root cause analysis.
Maintain compliance for audits.
Manage contractors and projects.
Follow Health and Safety laws and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Grade 12 certificate.
Millwright Trade Test.
Experience in manufacturing.
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
Knowledge of pneumatics and electro-pneumatics.
Pump and motor repairs.
Basic PLC knowledge.
Instrumentation and calibration.
Building maintenance.
Proficiency with hand and electrical tools.
Familiarity with ISO 9001.

Computer Skills:

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
