An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and energetic Accountant to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting function, including general ledger accounts, inventory management, and cost accounting. This role involves the preparation of financial statements, budget forecasts, cost analysis, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Please note this position is based in Delmas - housing is provided which can accommodate a family. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full accounting function, including general ledger and inventory management.
• Conduct cost accounting, including analysis of inventory and overhead costs, and identify areas for cost savings.
• Manage journal entries, general ledger transactions, and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly and weekly financial analysis and reporting.
• Monitor inventory costs, perform reconciliations, and participate in inventory counts.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.
• Ensure compliance with SARS requirements, including vehicle logbook reviews and diesel rebate calculations.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and audit documents.
• Assist with the preparation of management accounts and in-depth analysis of results against budgets.
• Support the COO/CFO/FM with various ad hoc projects and responsibilities.

Requirements:

• B Com Accounting degree (prerequisite).
• Minimum of 8-10 years of working experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with Pastel Evolution Accounting software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable transport and ability to travel to the Delmas location.
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English.
