We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Finance Processing Manager whose role focusses on identifying and implementing process optimisations to enhance workflow, reduce errors, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. By cross-verifying financial data and streamlining operations, the Finance Process Manager helps the finance team achieve higher productivity and accuracy.
The role acts as a key driver of continuous improvement, working across departments to integrate processes and improve overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Process Optimisation:
- Assess and optimise financial workflows to ensure smooth, efficient operations and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Work closely with the finance team to establish checks and balances, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Streamline financial processes and ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently, reducing redundant or unnecessary steps.
- Develop and implement standardised procedures for common financial tasks to improve consistency and reliability across teams.
- Regularly monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented changes to ensure they are achieving the desired impact.
- Provide leadership with insights into process challenges, data trends, and opportunities for further optimisation.
Collaboration & Training:
- Provide ongoing support to staff by identifying training needs, and ensuring team members are equipped to handle their tasks correctly.
- Act as a resource for resolving complex financial issues and assist staff with overcoming any challenges related to their work.
- Ensure staff are aware of and adhere to updated processes and best practices, fostering an environment of continuous learning.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of finance processes across the organisation.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Post Graduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Project management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Business Process Management certification advantageous e.g. Lean, Sigma, Oracle and Business analysis
- Professional Certifications such as CA(SA) or CIMA are highly desirable.
Experience:
- Experience with financial workflow automation tools
- Professional Experience: Previous in finance, with at least 2 years focused on process optimisation or quality control.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated experience in process mapping and implementing enhancements within financial operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work across various departments to streamline financial processes.
Knowledge, skills and attributes (KSAOs):
Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of South African financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
Skills and Attributes:
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial data analysis.
- Project management abilities, including multitasking and meeting deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail for accurate financial cross-verification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Adaptability and resilience under pressure.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

We offer Barista produced coffee available all day to all our staff at Claremont.
Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45-minute lunch break. The company allows employees, by approval of the direct manager, to work flexi-time between 07h00 and 18h00.
With centrally located and modern offices just across from Cavendish in Claremont, Faircape offers a market-related salary from R 60,000 Cost to Company
