Job Description:

• Collaborate with design teams to fine-tune solar system designs, making sure they hit all technical specs and industry standards.
• Oversee daily construction activities to ensure they stay on track, meet safety regulations, and maintain top-notch quality control.
• Act as the main contact between internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients, ensuring smooth communication and flawless project execution.
• Track project progress: quantities, costs, and timelines, while helping to manage budgets and resolve any delays or cost issues.
• Prepare and review important project docs, from technical reports and submittals to drawings and other key materials. Help identify and negotiate any changes to scope, design, or schedule, ensuring proper documentation for all adjustments.
• Keep safety and quality front and center, identifying and solving potential safety hazards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project close-outs, from final inspections to system commissioning and testing.
• Travel regularly across South and Southern Africa to make sure projects meet design specs and regulatory standards

Skills & Experience:

• Expertise in project management tools and design software (PVsyst, PVsol, AutoCAD)
• Strong contract knowledge and documentation skills
• Solid understanding of solar system design, construction, and commissioning processes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners
• Minimum 5+ years of project engineering experience, ideally with utility-scale solar projects

Qualification:
BEng/BSc/BTech/Advanced Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
