Our client is a leading provider of electrical engineering solutions, specializing in switchgear design, manufacturing, and installation. They are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative electrical solutions to a wide range of industries.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draughtsman, with experience in switchgear design, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for electrical switchgear and related components.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts for switchgear systems using CAD software.
Modify and update existing designs based on engineering feedback and project requirements.
Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with Engineers and project teams to develop innovative and efficient solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation and revision control of all drawings.
Assist with the development of bill of materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
Liaise with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure the feasibility of designs.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical drafting, specifically in switchgear design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar electrical design software.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, BS, or ANSI.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
