Our client is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join their dynamic construction team. As a key leader in their pre-construction department, you will be responsible for overseeing the estimating function, ensuring accurate cost projections, and supporting the business in securing profitable projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction estimation and leadership experience.

Duties:

Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tendering activities.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements.
Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate costs.
Develop and implement best practices and cost-control measures for estimating.
Present estimates and tender submissions to senior management and stakeholders.
Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and innovations in construction methods.
Mentor and train Junior Estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Estimating Manager or Senior Estimator within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, or similar tools).
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Relevant Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
