This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a luxury safari environment, has strong leadership skills, and is passionate about delivering world-class service in a remote setting.About the Role:The Lodge Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the lodge, ensuring seamless operations and outstanding guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a keen eye for detail, the ability to manage diverse teams, and a strong understanding of high-end lodge operations in Zululand’s unique wildlife setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily lodge operations, ensuring all departments run efficiently.
• Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure all guest accommodations, public areas, and facilities are maintained to 5-star standards.
• Manage guest relations, handling requests, special arrangements, and any concerns professionally.
• Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage team to maintain outstanding dining experiences.
• Ensure all lodge activities, safaris, and excursions are well-coordinated and exceed guest expectations.
• Maintain strong relationships with conservation teams, local communities, and suppliers.
• Uphold health, safety, and sustainability standards in all lodge operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Lodge Manager in a 5-star game lodge.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of luxury lodge operations, guest services, and hospitality standards.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, wildlife-focused environment.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, reporting, and cost control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A passion for wildlife, conservation, and authentic safari experiences.
• Zulu language skills would be an advantage but are not required.
