Job Purpose:
The Oracle Integration Cloud Developer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) solutions that enable seamless integration between third-party systems and Oracle Cloud. Additionally, the candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining Oracle APEX applications, ensuring high-performance, scalable, and secure web-based solutions that support business needs. The role requires strong technical expertise in OIC, API integrations, middleware technologies, and Oracle APEX development. The role includes out-of-hours support for critical systems as part of a standby rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and configure Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) solutions to handle transformations and orchestrations between third-party systems and Oracle Cloud.
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle APEX applications, ensuring they align with business requirements and deliver a seamless user experience.
- Work with product owners and technical leads to understand integration and application development requirements, providing scalable solutions.
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned development tasks while adhering to quality standards and deadlines.
- Collaborate with QA teams, analysts, and other stakeholders to analyze requirements, develop user stories, and manage backlog items.
- Provide technical expertise in system integrations, API development, and middleware solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration solutions to enhance performance and scalability.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including standup meetings, sprint planning, and reviews.
- Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to explore new integration and application solutions.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Oracle Integration Cloud Services (OIC).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle APEX for web-based application development.
Technical Skills:
- API integrations and REST/SOAP web services.
- Data transformation and orchestration between multiple systems.
- Middleware technologies and best practices.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming expertise.
- Other programming language eg: C# would be advantageous.
- Experience in developing interactive, responsive, and user-friendly web applications using Oracle APEX.
- Building dynamic reports, charts, dashboards, and forms in APEX.
- JavaScript, HTML, and CSS knowledge for front-end enhancements.
- Authentication and security best practices in APEX applications.
- Hands-on experience in integration development, API design, and cloud-based solutions.
- Experience working with JSON, XML, and SQL databases for integration and APEX applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices for integration and application deployment.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining alignment with team objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in Oracle Integration Cloud Services (OICS), Oracle APEX Development, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Additional Information:
- This is a permanent/full-time position based at Cape Union Mart’s IT Division.
- Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
- The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with evolving business requirements.
