Finance Manager Opportunity – Group FinanceWe are seeking a Finance Manager to join a dynamic Group Finance department within a leading listed organization. This role is based in Cape Town and reports to the Financial Manager.

Job Purpose:
The Finance Manager will support the Group Financial Reporting team by delivering accurate, timely, and relevant financial information to drive decision-making, analytics, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly, interim, and year-end reporting.
• Support ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of balance sheet reconciliations as part of internal financial controls.
• Drive efficiencies by developing SAC reports, data analytics, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee the financial control environment, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
• Assist in preparing monthly management reports and optimizing the group reporting process.
• Support the preparation of statutory annual financial statements for all subsidiaries, including planning, drafting, and managing the compilation process.

Requirements:
A self-motivated individual looking to grow their finance career within a Top 40 listed company.

Education:

• Registered CA (SA)

Experience:
Essential:

• Minimum of two years' relevant finance and reporting experience, ideally within the retail sector in a JSE-listed company.

Desirable:

• Experience in financial reporting (1+ years).
• Supervisory/management experience.
• Proficiency in SAP, SAP EPM, and Caseware.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong understanding of financial reporting and statutory requirements.
• Experience with multiple accounting systems.
• Sound IFRS knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and Caseware.
• Financial management, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
