Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our UK client’s team in Sandton, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in team management, driving professionalism, productivity, and performance. This role requires a dynamic leader who is hands-on, passionate about training and development, and capable of fostering a high-performance culture.
You will also play a key role in building strong relationships with senior management in the UK while ensuring seamless operational efficiency within the local team.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, ensuring productivity and results.
- Establish and maintain a culture of professionalism and accountability.
- Implement performance tracking and drive continuous improvement.
Training & Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs to upskill team members.
- Identify skill gaps and implement strategies for professional growth.
- Foster a learning environment to enhance efficiency and expertise.
Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to company standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior UK-based management.
- Act as a bridge between the local team and UK leadership to align goals and expectations.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong track record in managing teams, driving performance, and implementing improvements.
- Experience in training, coaching, and developing employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
- Ability to establish a high-performance culture within the team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
