Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Finance Manager to join their team in Ottery, Cape Town. The position will oversee our finance team, manage core accounting functions, and ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards. The role focuses on enhancing internal controls, driving financial planning and analysis, managing cash flow, and providing financial insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Oversee preparation of the monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Generate reports offering financial insights into the company’s financial position and performance.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Drive the annual budgeting process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
• Analyze budget-to-actual variances and recommend corrective actions.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
• Improve the performance of key areas, including inventory, accounts payable, and cash collections.
• Manage and maintain banking relationships.

Tax Compliance & Auditing:

• Plan and coordinate external audits, ensuring audit readiness.
• Liaise with tax experts to ensure compliance and on-time tax submissions.

Team Management:

• Lead and support the finance team, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
• Review and approve team outputs, including debtors, creditors, and other financial processes.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, providing guidance and leadership.

Process Improvement & Financial Projects:

• Recommend and implement improvements to financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide financial support to other departments.
• Work with ERP systems and other financial tools to streamline reporting and analysis.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Com Degree in Accounting, with completed articles from a recognized firm.
• Preferably a qualified CA(SA).
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a managerial position.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems (such as Syspro or equivalent).
