An Exciting Opportunity for a Buyer in the Manufacturing Industry.

Are you a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer looking to grow your career in procurement? My client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled Buyer to support the Purchasing Manager in sourcing high-quality materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Sourcing:
- Source and purchase raw materials, components, and equipment required for production.
- Ensure that all purchases align with quality standards, lead times, and cost objectives.
- Identify new suppliers, negotiate pricing, and manage procurement contracts.
Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any delivery or quality issues.
- Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to develop and maintain supplier agreements.
Inventory & Order Management:
- Monitor stock levels and place orders in line with production demands.
- Ensure the timely delivery of goods to prevent production delays.
- Track and report on procurement metrics, including cost savings and supplier performance.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
- Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Assist with streamlining procurement processes to improve efficiency and cost control.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production and finance, to optimize procurement operations.

Minimum Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
3 or more years of experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably in manufacturing.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Experience working with ERP systems and procurement software.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
