We’re looking for a DevOps / Backend Developer with expertise in AI, data, and infrastructure.

This role involves setting up and managing databases, provisioning infrastructure, optimising FinOps, managing traffic requirements, writing APIs, and collecting meaningful data for insights. While backend, infrastructure, and data/AI are the core focus, some frontend experience (React/Next.js) is a plus.

You’ll also play a contributing role in defining the backend infrastructure and stack based on project requirements and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
• Backend Development – Build and optimise scalable APIs (REST, GraphQL) using Node.js, Python, and TypeScript.
• Infrastructure & Cloud Management – Set up and manage infrastructure on AWS & Google Cloud, provisioning resources based on cost and performance needs.
• Database Management – Configure, optimise, and secure SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase) databases, implementing security rules.
• FinOps & Cost Management – Estimate infrastructure costs, optimise spending, and manage cloud expenses efficiently.
• AI & Data Engineering – Deploy and integrate Custom AI Models (that our team has built) and/or LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini), manage ETL pipelines, and enable data collection for meaningful insights.
• Traffic & Performance Optimisation – Monitor and manage server loads, auto-scaling strategies, and caching solutions to handle traffic spikes.
• CI/CD & DevOps Automation – Implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and automate deployment processes. • Security & Compliance – Set up IAM, secrets management, database security rules, and encryption standards.
• Tech Stack & Architecture Decision-Making – Contribute to choosing the right backend technologies, aligned with customer needs and budgets. • Version Control & Collaboration – Work with GitHub for versioning and collaborative development.
• Bonus: Exposure to 3D development using R3F (not a requirement but good to have).
