- Perform quality mechanical maintenance and diagnostic testing on heavy machinery and equipment.
- Offer workshop technicians, apprentices, and trainees effective solutions and technical assistance.
- Record maintenance/repair progress and track parts, time, and costs for accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with the Workshop Foreman on complex repair issues and finalize test driving for equipment release.
- Manage resources efficiently to ensure maximum productivity.
- Take ownership of ad-hoc projects, meet deadlines, and address troubleshooting issues.
- Comply with health and safety standards while mentoring apprentices and providing training support.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, particularly in heavy machinery and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to safety standards and continuous learning.

Today, 33 years later, where hard work, determination, blood, sweat, less tears and a retired Vespa still apply, the company has escalated into a powerful player in the market, being the largest trailer and allied product manufacturer in South Africa.
