Our client is looking for a Milking Machine Technician to join their team in the Cookhouse, EC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of milking equipment used in dairy farms. This role ensures the efficient operation of dairy equipment, contributing to optimal production and animal welfare.

Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and maintain milking machines and related dairy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in milking machines, pumps, pipelines, and other dairy equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Train farm staff on the proper use and maintenance of milking equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections to comply with industry standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a milking machine technician or in a similar technical role (e.g., electrical or mechanical equipment technician) is beneficial.
• Certification in electrical mechanical maintenance, agricultural technology, or a related field is beneficial.
• Previous experience working in a dairy farm or with milking equipment is advantageous.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair dairy equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
