A dynamic and fast-paced advanced manufacturing company is seeking a highly experienced Financial & Operations Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire finance and accounting function while managing a team that supports production and sales. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to thrive in a world-class carbon composites manufacturing environment.

My client specializes in the production of carbon composite materials, specifically in advanced manufacturing. Their products serve industries that require high-performance, lightweight, and durable materials, such as aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors.

Although the specifics of their product line isn't fully detailed here, companies in this space typically work with carbon composites to create components that offer superior strength-to-weight ratios, making them ideal for applications where performance and weight savings are critical. The use of an ERP system (Syspro) and inventory management suggests that they have complex manufacturing processes, involving multi-stage production, traceability, and warehouse management. Their focus on lean manufacturing indicates a commitment to reducing waste and improving production efficiency, which is common in high-performance manufacturing environments.

This role reports to the CEO and some of the responsibilities include high level full function accounting and financial management of the manufacturing business and overseeing budgeting, cash flow management, and forex transactions. Implement financial controls, optimize efficiencies, and support operational cost management. Develop financial strategies, minimize risk, and drive business performance. Manage and enhance ERP systems for inventory and production tracking.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting
• Syspro - Non-negotiable
• 9 years of relevant Hard Manufacturing or Automotive experience
• At least 5 years’ experience in integrated manufacturing -Non-negotiable
• Fully qualified CIMA or CIMA in progress - Strategic level
