Role Overview:
The Technical Consultant / Sage X3 Support provides technical expertise, system support, and solutions for Sage X3 ERP. The role ensures system reliability, troubleshooting, configuration, and user support, while collaborating with stakeholders to enhance business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide second- and third-line support for Sage X3, resolving functionality, configuration, and performance issues.
- Troubleshoot errors in databases, applications, and integrations to minimize downtime.
- Collaborating with business analysts, developers, and end-users to identify and implement system improvements, driving continuous enhancement of the ERP system.
- Configure and customize Sage X3 modules, workflows, reports, and dashboards.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
- Assist in data migration and integrations with third-party applications.
- Develop technical documentation and train users to enhance system adoption.
- Monitor system performance and recommending proactive solutions to prevent downtime or disruptions, maintaining high availability and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with data security and regulations.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Advantageous).
- 4+ years of Sage X3 support or technical consulting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Sage X3 modules (such as Finance, Manufacturing, Distribution).
- Proficiency in Sage X3 tools (4GL, Crystal Reports, SQL Server).
- Experience with system configuration, troubleshooting (functional and technical issues), and integrations (APIs, web services).
- Sage X3 certifications, ERP implementation experience, or industry-specific expertise (Advantageous).
- Solid understanding of database management, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, and query writing, to handle data-related tasks and optimize system performance.
