FRUIT PACKHOUSE MANAGER

The incumbent will, in collaboration with Senior Management, be responsible and accountable for all operational, production, manpower, systems and procedural matters related to the complete fruit packing process, in order to execute the packing programmes for international and local retailers.

Duties - which are carried out within a team environment - refer to, amongst others, the following key aspects: 

• planning of all production processes related to achieve optimum throughputs, manpower, packing material and all relevant resources
• optimal sorting and grading of fruit
• compliance with required food safety, quality- and occupational safety standards
• optimal utilization and management of manpower, equipment and materials
• effective prevention and handling of downtime and all problems affecting the production process
• effective record keeping at all times
• managing and maintaining healthy human relations by applying sound leadership skills.
