Junior Accountant (POS25058)

R 25 000 to R 30 000 per month

Job Purpose:

Accountants perform a variety of duties, including analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements, and creating budgets. They also ensure compliance with legal requirements and accounting standards. 

Requirements:

·        BCom Accounting degree is required.

·        Proven experience in assisting with the completion of financial statements.

·        Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

·        Proficiency in accounting software Pastel or similar and MS Excel.

·        Previous experience in VAT and tax compliance is advantageous.

·        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

·        Financial reporting: Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

·        Report on financial performance

·        Analyze financial data to identify trends and assess risks

·        Budgeting and forecasting 

·        Taxation: Prepare and file tax returns for a company

·        Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements, Produce and provide statements, accounts, and reports to regulatory bodies, stock exchanges, and other relevant stakeholders 

·        Auditing 

·        Financial analysis
