Mechanical Designer

CTS Trailers is looking for a Mechanical Designer to be part of the Drawing Office team situated in Bellville, Stikland Industrial.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs, including 3D modelling and 2D drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
• Prepare and maintain bills of materials.
• Attend design reviews.
• Take responsibility for the technical soundness of designs.
• Perform calculations for materials and weight distributions.
• Investigate technical issues and implement the appropriate corrective measures.
• Ensuring compliance with customer and engineering standards.
