My client, a well established company based in Somerset West is seeking to employ a Senior Payroll Administrator with at least 5 years relevant experience in payroll administration with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.The successful candidate will have a Degree in HR, Accounting or a related field and will be responsible for overseeing the full payroll process, ensuring that salaries are processed accurately and on time and ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full payroll function for a diverse workforce
Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions
Administer and ensure compliance with tax calculations, UIF, and other statutory contributions
Prepare monthly payroll reports and reconciliations.
Handle payroll-related queries from employees and management
Stay up-to-date with all legislative changes affecting payroll
Ensure that payroll data is kept confidential and secure
Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accuracy
Maintain and update payroll records and employee files
Perform month-end and year-end payroll processes

Requirements:

A relevant degree in Accounting or Human Resources
A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
Strong knowledge of South African payroll and tax legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL)
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage, VIP, or similar).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and management
