Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

• BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a consulting engineering firm, focusing on building and municipal services projects
• Strong knowledge of JBCC, GCC, NEC, and other relevant building contracts
• Extensive experience in civil engineering projects and project management
• Ability to liaise with clients effectively
• Experience in managing project budgets and aligning them with client expectations
• Proficiency in municipal services and building services design
• Strong knowledge of ISO quality management systems
• Familiarity with National, Provincial, and Local Laws, Bylaws, Ordinances, Policies, and Procedures
• Thorough understanding of National Building Regulations, SANS Code of Practice, SANS Design Codes, and NHBRC requirements
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers
• Commitment to high-quality work and first-time-right execution
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
