· Daily control of fleet; 25 – 30 vehicles

· Management of drivers

· Control of the pallets & PODs on trucks

Operators relationship with driver is very important – professional relationship

Operators to motivate drivers to perform better/be more productive

Communication at loading and offloading points. Encourage drivers to finish loading and offloading as quick as possible

Route planning

Communication between driver and workshop - report all breakdowns to workshop.

Ensure drivers have valid PDPs, vehicles were tested (COFs) and road worthy, cross border permits and Hazchem certificates are in place.

Security and safety

· Experience in the field will be beneficial

· Must be well organised, have the ability to work quickly, work under pressure and be able to multi-task

· Computer literate

· Good people relations

· Good communication skills

· Able to enforce authority
