The Opportunity:

As our Fleet Controller, you'll be the linchpin of our daily operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of our fleet and drivers. You'll be responsible for planning, scheduling, and optimizing routes, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional client satisfaction. This is a critical role that demands a proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual.

Duties:

Fleet Management Mastery:

·           Oversee and manage our fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.

·           Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance, including weekly checks, services, and washbay upkeep.

·           Manage breakdowns, licensing, and diesel consumption.

·           Handle insurance claims and ad-hoc projects.

Trip Optimization & Driver Management:

·           Load trips onto our in-house application and manage driver schedules.

·           Plan and optimize routes for maximum efficiency.

·           Oversee loading and unloading processes, ensuring accurate paperwork.

·           Plan and schedule "overs" to complete outstanding orders.

·           Manage driver performance, including monitoring consumption, debriefing, and reporting.

·           Manage driver PDP and licenses.

·           Manage drivers leave and overtime.

Client Connection:

·           Provide exceptional client service, resolving queries and addressing challenges promptly.

·           Maintain daily client interactions, ensuring smooth communication and satisfaction.

·           Deliver within client SLA.

Reporting & Efficiency:

·           Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operational statistics.

·           Identify and implement strategies to improve operational efficiencies.

·           Complete daily debrief paperwork.

Team Collaboration:

·           Support effective teamwork within the depot/branch.
