Generating of purchase orders for engineering and profile suppliers, including local vendors. Expediting all purchase orders, Sourcing of new suppliers, Ad-hoc assistance as and when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/Matric
• Tertiary qualification in CIPS Level 3: Advanced certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations.
• Data and/or analytics-related certification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement within the Mining and Engineering industries.
• Advance Excel skills
• Knowledge and experience with ERP systems
• Supply Chain knowledge and experience,
• Inventory replenishment experience and understanding of inventory data management concepts,
• Database management skills,

Technical skills:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings: understanding engineering blueprints, CAD designs, and specifications related to profile plates.
• Material knowledge: Familiarity with different steel grades, and other materials used for profile plates, understanding the material properties and applications.
• Understanding cutting processes: Understanding the different cutting methods like laser cutting, plasma cutting, Water jet cutting and flame cutting.
• Tolerances and specifications: Ability to ensure that sourced plates meet required dimensional tolerances, surface finishes and hardness.

Procurement and negotiation skills:

• Supplier sourcing and evaluation: Experience in identifying and assessing suitable profile suppliers based on quality, pricing, and lead times
• Cost analysis : Ability to evaluate quotes, understand cost drivers and negotiate favorable terms.
• Supply chain co-ordination: Ensuring on-time deliveries and handling potential supply disruptions.
