Marketing Designer (Pinelands, Cape Town)

IDM is seeking an experienced, creative, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Mid-weight Designer. The successful incumbent will play a crucial role in developing day-to-day creative work, producing visual aspects across brands, using ATL and BTL best practices, and working with the head designer to meet deliverables.

This position requires professionalism, excellent communication skills, a keen understanding of design practices; and the ability to collaborate effectively with various business units, when needed, including – and especially – the In-House Agency. This role requires attention to detail from a person who can interpret a brief with a full understanding of the brand(s) in mind.  

Key responsibilities and performance areas:

• Design print and digital collateral, based on various brand CIs.
• Develop new concepts
• Maintain and update existing designs.
• Create designs for social media platforms, apps, and marketing campaigns.

Communication:

• Develop and maintain relationships with content delivery partners, and particularly, members of the team.
• Be open to mentoring the junior designer.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues as needed.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Photography and videography skills a plus.
• Digital product design experience a plus.

Requirements

• Matric, with a relevant tertiary qualification in visual communication design, graphic design, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Highly proficient in design programs.
• Must live IDM’s values.
• Must be client-centric.
