ROLE INCLUDES:
· Servicing short-term domestic and commercial client portfolios.
· Processing all renewals timeously.
· Communicate with existing clients and attend to their queries.
· Administering client files within insurance software and uploading
required data and documents.
· Application of relevant policy terms and conditions.
· Issue confirmation of cover letters.
· Send out risk requirement letters.
· Obtain quotes (amendments and new business) and comparison
quotes from insurers including compiling of a quote comparison.
· Complete Record of Advice forms.
· Meeting with broker consultants from various insurers when necessary.
· Knowledge of the horse racing/sport horse industry is advantageous.
Required Skills
- Commercial Underwriter: 5 to 6 years
- Domestic Underwriter: 5 to 6 years
Candidate Requirements
· Minimum 5 years experience as a COMMERCIAL and DOMESTIC
UNDERWRITER at a brokerage.
· NQF 4 qualification or higher (or appropriate credits).
· FAIS Compliant.
· Representative with the FSCA NOT UNDER SUPERVISION.
· Class of business training to have been completed.
· Key Individual with the FSCA is advantageous.
· Have sound knowledge of basic policy forms i.e. Basic policy wordings,
etc.
· Experience using Integrity or any other insurance system is
advantageous.
· Computer literate and strong attention to detail.
· Must be able to prioritise workloads and work under pressure,
· Neat, presentable, and well-spoken individual.
