PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Responsible for the overall supervision of the team to ensure that quality products are produced at all times.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Assist with effective production planning, as well as plan and control overtime and wage costs.

·         Maintain quality and ISO standards.

·         Ensure preventative maintenance programme is adhered to and housekeeping is up to standard.

·         Manage and control stock losses due to maintenance.

·         Do daily stocktake, recons on raw materials and finished goods as well as follow up on stock variances.

·         Ensure that effectiveness is executed on the cost of maintenance and electricity.

·         Develop, motivate, train and appraise direct reporting staff.

·         Discipline staff according to the Company Code of Conduct.

·         Ensure effective daily stock counts, raw-materials, premixes, packaging, final product, fuel etc.

·         Process daily counts on the relevant stock count sheets and item evaluation.

·         Process daily fuel consumption of Boiler and Forklifts as well as record keeping of fuel consumption per forklift and Boiler.

·         Maintain FIFO and quality standards on all raw materials received.

·         Ensure accurate record keeping of all received and outgoing raw materials stock on file as well as proof of weighbridge ticket and daily counts.

·         Ensure good administration practises and ensure accurate record keeping.

·         Help with any IT related problems and report it to the IT department and assist with any fault finding on PLC.

·         Ensure that all network related issues are maintained and kept to standard, and all servers are maintained effectively.

·         Execute ad hoc tasks as prescribed by Manager.
