Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer to align financial goals with operational objectives.
Oversee the preparation of detailed financial plans, forecasts, and budgets.
Manage the cash flow
Report directly to the Chairman and Group Financial Director on the financial performance, strategy, and key metrics.
Ensure financial goals align with the company’s objectives and long-term growth plans, in line with the strategic vision.
Oversee the preparation of detailed financial plans, forecasts, and budgets.
Monitor performance against budgets and financial projections, providing recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the profitability and cost-effectiveness of the mining operations.
Oversee financing strategies for capital expenditures and working capital needs, including managing relationships with financial institutions and investors.
Negotiate financing options and ensure compliance with relevant agreements.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Ensure compliance with South African financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and manage audits.
Identify and mitigate financial risks related to the mining operations.
Implement and oversee internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.

Chartered Accountant (CA) (SA), MBA, or similar finance-related qualification
Minimum of 10 years of senior financial management experience
Mining Industry knowledge – beneficial
In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance.
Proven track record of managing large-scale financial operations and optimising financial performance.
Experience in managing a finance team and fostering collaboration across departments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
