A Company involved in the manufacturing and supply of textiles based in Jacobs, Durban, is seeking suitable candidate for the role of Raw Materials Planner. for thier Fashion Department.  

Position Overview: The Raw Materials Planner responsible for procurement, inventory management of raw materials required for production processes. This role ensures that the necessary materials are available at the right time in the right quantity and at the right cost to meet the production schedules and support the efficiency of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Customer Communication
   • Follow up on projection according to lead times 
   • Ensure all communication to customer is done correctly and timeously
2. Tech Pack / Jobs        
   • Initiate Tech Packs with relevant Departments
   • Creation of Job (BOM) on Sync 
3. Procurement            
   • Fabric and packaging needs to be procured in line with customer projections to ensure we are always covered to meet deliveries as well as a % of additional.
   • And ensure this is ordered according to the customer’s model.    
4. Reports        
   • Identify opportunities to streamline materials handling processes and improve efficiency 
   • Provide regular reports on inventory levels, materials shortages and planning accuracy 
   • Actual vs projected 
   • Seasonal stats 
5. Shipment Tracking                
   • Following up ETD and ETAs from schedules provided from offshore suppliers as well as internal shipping dept.   
   • Communicate late fabrics to HOD and communicate to demand planners to ensure production aligns
