We are seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious SAICA Trainee Accountant to join our young, talented, and energetic team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are eager to kick-start their careers in audit and gain valuable experience while working towards their CA(SA) qualification. Our structured training program ensures that trainees receive excellent mentorship, technical training, and exposure to a wide variety of industries and clients.
Position overview:
- Assist in planning and executing external audit engagements
- Perform audit testing and document audit findings
- Prepare / review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs
- Engage with clients and audit teams to ensure efficient and effective audits
- Develop an understanding of the firm’s audit methodology and best practices
- Stay updated on regulatory and industry changes
- Work closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality audit services
- Attend relevant training sessions and contribute to continuous professional development
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of own vehicle and valid driver’s license
- South African citizen
- Bcom Accounting, CTA (BCom Accounting Honours) preferred
- Completed SAICA training contract
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - advantageous
