We are seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Audit Supervisor to join our young, talented, and energetic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing audit engagements, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of audit assignments. Position overview:
- Assist in planning, executing, and finalising audit engagements
- Supervise audit teams and provide guidance and on the job training to trainees
- Review working papers and ensure compliance with IFRS / IFRS for SMEs, ISA, and firm policies
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships
- Identify audit risks and develop solutions to address them
- Assist in preparing audit reports and management letters
- Collaborate with audit managers and partners on engagement progress
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes
- Ensure deadlines and timelines are managed and met
- Ensure audit files are archived timeously
- Assist with in-house training as when required
Candidate Requirements
- South African citizen
- Bcom Accounting, preferred CTA (BCom Accounting Honours)
- Completed SAICA training contract
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Business development acumen and client relationship management skills
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Caseware working papers is an advantage
- Possession of own vehicle and valid driver’s license
