Fleet Operations Manager (POS25038)
Based: Kempton Park
Salary : R50 – 55 000.00 pm
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or Diploma in logistics, business administration, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management in courier environment
· Strong knowledge of fleet management software and systems.
· Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Proven experience in budget management and cost control.
· Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
· Experience in managing and training teams.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures.
· Proactive and self-motivated with a hands-on approach.
· Experience in using GPS and telematics systems.
· Ability to handle emergency situations and make quick decisions.
· Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
· Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
· Willingness to travel as required.
Day to Day duties (not limited to)
· Oversee the daily operations of the vehicle fleet.
· Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
· Manage and train drivers to ensure high performance.
· Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
· Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures.
· Monitor and manage fleet budgets and expenses.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
· Analyze fleet performance data and generate reports.
· Implement strategies to optimize fleet performance and reduce costs.
· Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
· Manage vehicle acquisition and disposal processes.
· Ensure timely and accurate documentation of fleet activities.
· Conduct regular audits and inspections of fleet operations.
· Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
· Implement and monitor GPS and telematics systems.
· Ensure driver safety and compliance with company policies.
· Coordinate emergency response and accident management.
· Plan and execute fleet expansion and reduction strategies.
· Provide regular updates to senior management on fleet performance.
· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
