Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join their team, specializing in the sale of bakery and hot foods equipment. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in the foodservice equipment industry and demonstrate a strong ability to generate new business and maintain long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Client Acquisition: Drive new business opportunities by identifying and reaching out to potential clients in the bakery and hot foods sectors. Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s bakery and hot foods equipment offerings to effectively present and sell to clients. Provide expert advice on product specifications and applications to meet customer needs.
- Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals. Work closely with the sales team to develop strategies that ensure consistent performance.
- Travel & Territory Management: Cover a wide sales territory across Durban and surrounding areas, including Hillcrest, PMB, Ladysmith, Winterton, and Newcastle. Regular travel to client sites and meetings will be required.
- Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by offering ongoing support and follow-up services. Address any customer queries or concerns to ensure positive client relationships and repeat business.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales progress. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market trends.
Candidate Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, specifically within the bakery and hot foods equipment sector.
- Knowledge of the foodservice industry and equipment solutions.
- A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel as required.
- A reliable vehicle for personal and work-related use.
