Our client a specialist in manufacturing is urgently looking for a Buyer who has extensive import experience.  Candidate must have previously worked together with shipping and clearing agents and know how to work with cross borders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Request pricing from all the relevant suppliers (local & import)

·         Negotiate pricing

·         Place Purchase Orders

·         Compile Reports for Management (Excel and ERP Based)

·         Tracking Incoming Shipments

·         Housekeeping of PO dates

·         Requesting estimates from the clearing agents and freight forwarders

·         Arranging forward covers for International Purchases

·         Expediting shipping dates & obtaining shipping documents

·         Manage the transport between external warehouses and internal

·         Ensure Proof of Deliveries for every delivery made are received

·         Facilitate transfers between Warehouse Locations     

·         Manage Stock take – monthly

·         Ensure invoices for shipments are received and submitted - monthly
