Our client, an established company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of animal feed additives and disinfectant products for animal feed, livestock and food environments are looking for a Technical Sales Advisor to join their team reporting to the Sales Manager. You will be based at the offices on the East Rand.

The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys the farm environment and connect with their clients in a meaningful way. You will call on customers in the Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Swaziland Territory and you must enjoy traveling extensively.

You will work on a very structured 4-week call cycle and be measured on the call ratios and quality of your calls and visits.

Your experience can lie in the animal feed, agriculture, food processing plants (Sauce, Dairy, Ice-cream, canned goods, bakeries, drinks or sweets) or cleaning and hygiene industry.

You will sell detergents and disinfectants to the livestock/agricultural industry. This will include poultry farms, hatcheries, piggeries and dairies.

Key responsibilities:

• Be highly conversant and professional in all technical and conceptual aspects of all

products

• Analyse customer needs, recommend suitable products, provide advice, and effectively answer questions / address customer concerns
• Discuss products and explain technical concepts and product uses effectively
• Write customer reports and proposals related to technical product solutions
• Build long-term relationships with customer base to establish loyalty
• Identify new opportunities and grow customer base
• Track sales and share monthly sales report with the management team
• Research current market trends and identify new product developments and feedback to the management team
