Our client, a leader in the prefabricated buildings industry is seeking a Rentals Operations Manager to join their team in Kliprivier, Johannesburg to manage and take ownership of the Rentals Administration, Financial Processes, Analysis and Reporting Functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all subordinates have the skills and knowledge to carry out their functions efficiently and effectively – (national).
- Ensure positive contributions to department’s performance by setting of objectives, coaching, counselling and performance management.
- Administration and Operational responsibilities: (Dotted line to branches)
- Take ownership of the national Rentals ERP systems and related controls.
- Take ownership of the national financial analysis function.
- Manage the national invoicing and credit note processes. Ensure timely, accurate and complete billing.
- Manage capex including monthly recons and disposals.
- Take ownership of transport administration processes including balance sheet recons and reporting.
- Fleet / assets / stock management and the integrity thereof.
- Manage / facilitate external audits (Financial / SHEQ ISO and others).
- Management of Debtor’s / Risk list / insurance claims / legal matters etc.
- Timely and accurate completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Manage rentals price lists (Rental rates and transport). Manage escalation and reporting function.
- Continuous improvements including branch visits to facilitate internal audits as well as coaching, mentoring / training and risk mitigation.
- Compliance to reasonable instructions.
- Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Control:
- Compliance with the company / clients SHEQ code of conduct and standards.
- Develop, implement and train team members on business processes according to the ISO principles.
- Audit and test compliance as well as improve the national business processes.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Matric and relevant B Com Degree or equivalent
- 15 years relevant experience including business process development and implementation experience
- Revenue and credit note processes.
- General ledger understanding
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Stock control, Fleet and asset control
- Experience with ERP and MS Office
