Job Description:
As a Buyer in the automotive industry environment, your primary responsibility will be to manage the local procurement process, maintain adequate stock levels, and evaluate market opportunities to support business growth. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while considering cost-effectiveness and quality.
Knowledge and Skills:
Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles and practices in the automotive industry.
Proficiency in procurement procedures, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
Knowledge of automotive parts and components, including their specifications, quality standards, and market trends.
Familiarity with inventory management techniques, including forecasting, demand planning, and stock control.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate market opportunities and make informed purchasing decisions.
Proficiency in using procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Knowledge of import/export regulations, customs processes, and logistics coordination.
Attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret data for decision-making.

Candidate Requirements
Minimum Years of Work Experience:A minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in a buyer or procurement role within the automotive industry or a related field.
Experience in supply chain management, stock control, and evaluating market opportunities is essential.
Qualifications:
Diploma in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications or professional courses in procurement, supply chain management, or logistics are advantageous.
