We are looking to expand our team with a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer who is eager to learn and contribute to exciting engineering projects.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our design team. The successful candidate will assist with the design, testing, and refinement of mechanical systems and components. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with some industry experience who are looking to grow and develop their skills in mechanical design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems and components, using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
• Support senior engineers in creating detailed technical drawings, models, and documentation.
• Assist in performing basic calculations and simulations for component analysis (e.g., stress, thermal, or motion analysis).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet product specifications.
• Participate in the prototype development process, including testing and validation of designs.
• Conduct research to explore new materials and design methods that can improve product performance.
• Help maintain design databases, engineering files, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Attend design reviews and contribute to brainstorming and troubleshooting sessions.
• Support the preparation of design reports and presentations for both internal teams and clients.

Required Qualifications:

• A BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 85% Matric average
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Eagerness to learn and develop skills in mechanical design and engineering.
