- Planning and Implementation: Develop, manage, and implement project plans in a structured manner.
- Define Project Tasks: Identify and define project tasks, set resource requirements, and ensure proper planning for each phase.
- Project Scheduling: Develop full-scale project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Resource Management: Recognize and define the required organizational and resource allocations for project success.
- Project Monitoring and Control: Manage and monitor project progress, ensuring the project stays on track in terms of scope, budget, and timeline.
- Reporting: Define content and format of reports, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Risk and Documentation Management: Oversee project risks, change control, and ensure all project documentation is up to date and well managed.
- Budget and Resource Allocation: Manage the project budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and client specifications.
- Project Evaluations: Conduct evaluations at project completion, assessing outcomes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Invoicing: Initiate invoicing processes as required by project milestones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required Skills
- Baan: 6 to 7 years
- Project Management: 7 to 8 years
- Fidic Contract Administration: 7 to 8 years
- Mining/Mineral Processing: 7 to 8 years
Candidate Requirements
- Project Management Qualification
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Project Management, preferably within the Mining Industry with a focus Mineral processing, mining equipment, preferably crushers and similar processing equipment.
- Familiar with iBAAN (preferably BAAN 6).
- Experience with the FIDIC suite of terms and conditions.
- PMP Certification (preferable).
- Technical proficiency: Advanced knowledge in MS Office, specifically MS Projects.
- Strong ability to develop detailed, top-down structured Project Plans.
- Familiarity with Product Breakdown Structure (PBS).
- Ability to prepare detailed WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and Gantt charts for project tracking.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.
- Capacity to manage time and resources efficiently, while maintaining flexibility and adapting to changing demands.
- Stress management capability and problem-solving aptitude under pressure.
- Ability to travel to sites as needed, with own transport and valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
- Time management skills, ensuring all project tasks are executed within agreed timelines.
- Adaptability to changing environments and requirements.
- Technical aptitude to understand and manage project-specific issues.
