Our client is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to join their team at their luxury 5-star game lodge. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, ensuring the lodge and its facilities are in optimal condition at all times. This includes managing a team of maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, and ensuring that the guest experience is never disrupted by maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily maintenance operations of the lodge, including guest rooms, public areas, and lodge facilities.
• Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance issues and ensure preventative measures are in place.
• Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Manage maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize disruption to guest services.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations, as well as environmental standards.
• Track and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, ordering supplies as necessary.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues, including electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs.
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented without compromising quality.
• Work closely with the lodge management team to support operational needs and guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role, within a 5-star hotel, game lodge, or luxury resort.
• Strong technical knowledge in a variety of maintenance disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of maintenance professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential maintenance issues.
• Ability to work in a remote, outdoor environment, with a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all departments.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the lodge's premises.
