Reconciliations I Operations, CIB

Job Purpose: 
To effectively and accurately perform the reconciliations process for Cash, Asset Position and Trade Processing and manage the exceptions queue by conducting and following through on investigations and escalating any queries when required to ensure all item entries are matched and breaks are timeously resolved.


Experience required: 
Knowledge of financial instruments, and relevant experience within the CIS (Collective investment schemes) industry.
Reconciliations knowledge and experience, with a understanding of systems, processes and procedures to perform reconciliations.
1-2 years Knowledge and practical experience with relevant MS Office programmers and systems (Fund accounting and reconciliation systems).
2 years experience in building relationships and engaging with clients to gather required information, documentation and resolve queries
Ability to manage exceptions, reducing variations, adhere to risk controls, monitor data accuracy & ensure compliance with processes, laws & regulations.
Take corrective action, drive transparency, proactive prevention, support & relevant reporting.

Systems knowledge: 
Fund accounting system (Hiportfolio)
relevant reconciliation systems (e.g. Intellimatch, BizWise, MS Office) 

Key Requirements: 
Finance or Accounting Degree/ Diploma
Knowledge and practical application of tools and processes to check that physical cash reserves are reflected accurately in the financial records
The ability to check financial entries in multiple systems to ensure that transactions and records are kept in sync and that they have been recorded appropriately
Data Analysis - The ability to analyze statistics and other data
