A well established manufacturing client in the heart of the East of Johannesburg is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join their team. The ultimate goal for this role will be to ensure that their technology infrastructure runs smoothly. Please note that this role requires shift work (Alternate week schedules run from 8am to 5pm, in office, following week 2pm to 1-pm shift, remote)

Qualifications:

MSCE
A+ / N+ / Security+
ITIL Foundations
Linux / CompTIA Linux+ / Red Hat
Matric
Tertiary Qualification (relevant to role)

Requirements:

3 to 5 years experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
HyperV / VMware
Powershell, CLI Scripting and Automation
Knowledge of system security

KPA’s:

Responsible for maintenance, configuration and reliable operations of computer servers and systems
Install hardware and software
Monitor system performance and troubleshooting issues
Ensure security through access controls and backups as well as ensuring security efficiency of IT Infrastructure
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT Staff for planning
Assist with server support
