Job Opportunity: Building Services Mechanical Engineer (Fire)

Hire Resolve is seeking a candidate on behalf of our client for the position of Building Services Mechanical Engineer (Fire).

Job Description:

• Develop fire safety and compliance designs for construction projects across South Africa and internationally.
• Manage small to medium projects with minimal guidance; manage large projects with experience or as part of the company's fire design team.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical building services and fire safety design (SANS standards).
• Experience designing fire protection systems, including firefighting equipment, smoke evacuation, stair pressurization, and fire sprinkler systems.
• Experience in thermal modeling is a plus.
• Represent the company in client and site meetings and conduct surveys.
• Assist with tender preparation and general project management tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ideal candidate: Motivated individual looking for challenging projects, with a focus on obtaining ECSA professional registration (if not already registered).

Qualifications:

• BTech/BEng in Mechanical Engineering
• Afrikaans speaking
