We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter specialized in glass and/or aluminium to join our client in their Cape Town and Johannesburg branches. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass and aluminium fixtures in commercial and residential buildings.

Responsibilities:

Measuring, cutting, and assembling aluminium frames, doors, windows, and partitions.
Installing glass and aluminium products at client sites, ensuring alignment and weatherproofing.
Performing repairs on damaged glass and aluminium structures, including replacing broken panels.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
Inspecting completed work to meet industry standards and client specifications.
Cutting, shaping, and smoothing glass and aluminium components using appropriate tools.
Adhering to workplace health and safety regulations to ensure safe handling of materials.
Communicating with clients to understand their requirements and provide advice on products.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Fitter specializing in glass and aluminium
Trade tested Fitter.
Knowledge of glass and aluminium installation techniques and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
