Job Purpose:
To support the Head of Compliance Model and Professionalisation by being the principal source of training and support on Compliance Risk Management. This role involves the effective delivery of compliance risk model training and fostering the professional development of Compliance as a distinct career path within the Nedbank Group-wide Compliance function. Additionally, the position is responsible for supporting the Head in the periodic review of the compliance risk management model and maintenance of compliance tools.
Job Responsibilities:
· Execute ion the compliance training and professionalisation strategy for the compliance function.
· Maintain the Compliance Academy SharePoint site and learning offerings to prepare compliance officers to become future fit.
· Execute the annual Compliance Training plan.
· Update and maintain compliance training materials, video recordings, and information on the digital learning platform.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to effect changes to systems/tools, including MI specialists (Compliance monitoring), Nedbank Business Risk School, Digital learning, and experience design teams.
· Serve as the primary facilitator for compliance model training for the compliance community.
· Act as the custodian for the identification of internal and external compliance training offerings targeted at compliance officers.
· Support compliance designation holders with Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
· Manage applications and obtain approval from CISA on courses for CPD.
· Drive group-wide compliance-related training initiatives.
· Source, maintain, and implement new innovative training methods.
· Execute the required aspects of the Skills Development Plan.
· Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders regarding Learning and Development, internal training providers, e.g., Nedbank Business Risk School.
· Drive and manage the compliance professionalisation programme through career guidance.
· Provide ongoing subject matter expert advice on the application of the compliance risk management model.
· Develop and maintain BYO compliance risk management plans.
Essential Qualifications: NQF Level 7
· Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor of Commerce: Risk Management, or LLB or Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Certifications:
· Member of the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa (CISA)
· Cisa assessor
· Compliance Practitioner
Type of Exposure:
· Knowledge of Financial Services regulatory requirements and general risk management
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Detailed knowledge and application of an end-to-end Compliance Risk Management Framework and process
· Facilitation and/or training delivery skills, e.g., face-to-face, online, and recorded
· Drafting quality reports
· Influencing stakeholders to obtain buy-in for concepts and ideas
· Sharing information in different ways to increase clients' understanding
· Interpretation of legislation
· Working and managing multiple projects simultaneously
· Quick grasping, understanding, and use of compliance-related systems or tools
· Working knowledge of Office 365 applications
· Development of training material
· In-depth knowledge of the General Accepted Compliance Practice Framework of the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa
· Ability to practically apply the compliance risk management process
· Strong presentation skills
