My client, a dynamic and growing services and engineering company based in KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking to hire a newly qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) as an Assistant Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their career in a fast-paced, diverse, and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the company’s financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain comprehensive budgeting processes to support strategic business decisions.
Work with the IT team to design and implement efficient processes and systems that support financial operations and reporting.
Facilitate the external audit process, working with auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion.

Critical Skills & Qualifications:

Newly qualified CA(SA)
Strong financial acumen and technical expertise
Ability to apply critical thinking in challenging and high-pressure situations
Demonstrated capacity to take on new tasks and responsibilities as the business evolves
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a solution-oriented mindset
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, guide, and support a team to achieve departmental goals
Mature, business-minded individual with an understanding of business operations
Personal Attributes:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate difficult situations with maturity and professionalism
